The Ke-Nu was a Japanese attempt to up-gun the Ha-Go with the main gun of the type 97 Chi Ha, being a 57mm howitzer. It housed a 120mm howitzer, but had about the same amount of armor as the Ho-Ro, and was much quicker (50kph) despite the 120mm howitzer. Much like the Ho-Ro was based on the Chi Ha chassis, the Ho-To was based on the Ha Go chassis. This little machine was held back on the mainland, much like the Chi-He, for the defense of the homeland. At it's front plate, it hat 35mm of armor, while the sides were just 20mm, it's main weapon was it's mobility (45kph max) and it's firepower (Japanese type 1 47mm at gun). The Ho-ru was inspired by the German Hetzer, but it was very lightly armored. These three are all late war modifications of the Ha Go Closer to the end of WWII, Japan began deploying newer versions of the Type-95 Ha-Go tank, which either greatly increased it's firepower, or just made it into a small fast tank destroyer.
